The Ambulatory Operations Manager oversees the operations of ambulatory sites to create a cohesive and aligned patient-centered experience throughout the ambulatory network. The Ambulatory Operations Manager provides leadership and oversight to staff, coordinates resources, and supports physicians and clinical leadership to ensure efficient operations, compliance with quality standards, and strong patient outcomes. This role also participates in strategic planning, space management, and process improvement initiatives to support the long-term growth of ambulatory services.

Must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the hospital's policies and procedures, including its Service Standards and its Code of Conduct.

  • Provide operational oversight for daily site(s) management, including staffing, workflow coordination, patient experience standards, and site-level resource utilization.
  • Manage operational and capital budgets, monitor financial performance, and address variances to achieve fiscal accountability.
  • Partner with LPCH Administration, clinical chiefs, and physicians to develop and execute site-specific operational plans that align with organizational goals.
  • Apply Lean management and Daily Management System principles to improve efficiency, streamline patient flow, and ensure consistent site operations.
  • Establish, communicate, and monitor administrative policies, procedures, and standards to ensure alignment with clinical practices and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Respond to and analyze patient complaints, identify trends, and lead resolution efforts to improve patient experience.
  • Participate in leadership committees, work groups, and interdepartmental initiatives to ensure smooth coordination across ambulatory sites.
  • Support onboarding of new providers and staff, ensuring appropriate resources, training, and integration into site operations.
  • Recruit, supervise, and develop staff, anticipating practice needs and aligning staffing models with patient demand and new service offerings.
  • Collaborate with physicians and allied health professionals to develop workflows, protocols, and operational improvements.
  • Coordinate and implement space planning, building transitions, special projects, and technology or equipment needs.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with quality standards, policies, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Implement process improvements related to patient flow, appointment scheduling, and resource utilization to enhance patient care and cost-effectiveness.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
