We have an immediate opportunity to join our growing company. We are seeking a full‑time Surgical Consultant in the Palo Alto, California territory.
A Surgical Consultant must understand the basics of orthopedic surgery, including anatomy and common repair or reconstruction techniques. The role supports the territory and surgical team daily to achieve sales objectives, educates on equipment and surgical techniques from partners such as Stryker, and provides training and research as needed. This position requires a self‑motivated, initiative‑driven individual capable of operating independently with minimal daily guidance.
Procedure:- Cover surgical cases as directed by territory personnel
- Transport equipment to surgical facilities, offices, and other venues
- Deliver surgical techniques, videos, and related materials to hospitals, surgery centers, and physician offices
- Track purchase orders, enter data into the Pac Med Medep system or other designated systems
- Support team meetings and regional functions, acting as a positive teammate
- B.A. or B.S. degree required
- Experience in surgical sports medicine device sales
- Field sales training and successful completion of the in‑house product training program
- Computer proficiency (fax, modem, calculator, PC, etc.)
- Physical ability to exert up to 50 pounds occasionally or up to 20 pounds constantly
- Excellent communication skills—large group and telephonic
- Overnight travel up to 20% annually
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong problem‑solving and customer service skills
- Detailed knowledge of Stryker products and the ability to convey this to customers
- Ability to analyze territory market potential and prioritize call patterns accordingly
