Position Title
Clinic Manager – Stanford Health Care (Palo Alto, California – Onsite)
Role OverviewPlans, organizes, manages and coordinates clinic services and staff to achieve continuous and optimal patient care within a clinic that may span across multiple sites or consist of multiple specialties.
Key Responsibilities- Complete and manage special projects, including reviewing information, identifying problems, recommending solutions, and writing reports.
- Provide exemplary customer service, ensuring standards are met or exceeded, and handle patient/customer complaints with appropriate follow‑through.
- Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures, monitoring compliance.
- Manage quality program compliance with federal, state, local regulations and Joint Commission guidelines; continuously improve care processes.
- Maintain clinic facilities, coordinate maintenance and repairs, manage equipment and supplies, and integrate inter‑department systems.
- Support new healthcare providers, provide orientation, and identify growth opportunities; market and promote clinic services.
- Plan and integrate clinic functions to support hospital priorities, providing leadership and vision to grow services.
- Prepare and manage the clinic operating budget, monitor income and expenses, forecast needs, and provide financial reports.
- Supervise professional and support staff, schedule work, evaluate performance, conduct hiring, training, and mentorship.
- Track the flow of medical records and patient information.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or combination of education and experience.
ExperienceFive (5) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Contribute to health care policy formulation in partnership with multidisciplinary teams.
- Delegate responsibly, tailoring activities to staff capability and regulatory guidelines.
- Lead process improvement projects and develop programs.
- Establish strategic direction and business plans for functional units.
- Initiate and implement change to improve quality and safety of patient care.
- Provide leadership, influence others, prioritize resources, promote cooperative behaviors, and mentor.
- Supervise, coach, mentor, train, and evaluate staff performance.
- Use information technology to support decision‑making and minimize error.
- Apply current theories, principles, and practices in nursing and health care systems.
- Understand laws, regulations, and hospital policies governing nursing care.
- Apply principles of organization, administration, fiscal, and personnel management.
- Stay current with trends in health care and hospital system organization.

Physical Demands & Work Conditions- Conversation in person and on the telephone; clear speaking in small, confined spaces.
- Reading reports, documents, and computer screens; performing repetitive arm, hand, and finger motions.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer.
- Work in small, confined, and not well ventilated areas.

CompensationBase pay scale: $74.73–$99.04 per hour. Final salary will be set based on internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
