Overview
The Advanced Informatics for Mental Health lab of Yair Bannett, MD, MS, in the Department of Pediatrics, is seeking a highly motivated full-time Research & Data Coordinator (RDC) to contribute to research in mental and behavioral health. We are looking for highly organized candidates with excellent communication and writing skills, attention to detail, and a history of professionalism, initiative and flexibility.
The RDC will lead research activities for studies involving secondary data management and analysis (e.g., data processing, cleaning, and quality control).
Our lab seeks to leverage AI technology to develop reliable quality measures for assessing management of children with developmental and mental health conditions (including ADHD, autism, anxiety) in primary care by integrating analysis of structured and unstructured longitudinal data from electronic medical records. We are committed to a team science approach to improve pediatric health care quality and health outcomes for children with developmental and mental health conditions.
DutiesInclude
- Participate in and lead core research activities within the lab, including study planning (literature review, preparing statistical analysis plans, annotation guidelines).
- Manage IRB protocol submissions and revisions.
- Manage data extracted from EMR and/or REDCap (basic data manipulation, data analysis using statistical software, figure/table preparation).
- Draft and revise research products (abstracts, posters, presentation slides, manuscripts).
- Prepare educational products (e.g., educational slides for clinicians and families on principles of parent training in behavior management).
- Draft and revise funding products (grant applications, progress reports).
- Participate in team meetings (Mondays 2:30-3:30 pm PST; Fridays 1-2 pm PST) and prepare/revise meeting minutes as needed.
- Work with PI to develop and communicate project schedules, targets, products, and accountabilities, as assigned.
- Update the lab’s website with research products, accomplishments, news, and links to social media.

Compensation & BenefitsThe expected pay range for this position is $34.56 to $40.30 per hour. Stanford University pay ranges reflect good faith estimates and may be adjusted based on factors such as scope of responsibilities, qualifications, and market conditions. QualificationsDesired Qualifications
- MS, MPH (or equivalent) in Biostatistics, Biomedical Informatics, Computational Linguistics, Computer Science, Health Services Research, Public Health, or related discipline.
- 2 years of experience in clinical research.
- Hands-on experience in data management and statistical analysis.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Familiarity with biomedical and behavioral health terminology.
- Interest and experience in mentoring and/or supervising junior scholars.
- A strong publication record.
Two-year college degree and two years related work experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of related education and relevant experience.
Knowledge,Skills And Abilities

- Knowledge of medical terminology.
Society of Clinical Research Associates or Association of Clinical Research Professionals certification is preferred.
Physical Requirements- Frequently stand, walk, twist, bend, stoop, squat and use fine motor skills.
- Occasionally sit, reach above shoulders, perform desk-based computer tasks, use a telephone and write by hand; lift, carry, push, and pull objects up to 40 pounds.
- Rarely kneel, crawl, climb ladders, grasp forcefully, sort and file paperwork; rare heavier lifts.
