Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the implementation and management of two enterprise-wide programs in the Family Centered Care Department:
Family Advisor and Self-Management Programs. Provides strategic development, management, planning and oversight of the FCC department with efforts and related programs and activities to support Stanford Children s Health s mission and vision. The Manager ensures that Family Centered Care program adheres to the practices and principles of Family Centered Care. In addition, the Manager strives to embed FCC practices and principles in all aspects of care at SMCH: clinical care;
policy development; patient safety, quality improvements and research endeavors. The Manager works at both the operational and strategic levels to assure that SMCH is a family-centered institution.

Must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the hospital s policies and procedures, including its Service Standards and its Code of Conduct.
- Assists in the operational and strategic oversight of the Family Centered Care program. Provides input into SMCH operational and strategic initiatives with the aim of embedding family centered practices and principles throughout SMCH. Manages two enterprise-wide programs for the Family Centered Care Department the Family Advisor Program and Parent Support Programs. Develops and tracks expenditures and assists in budget management of the Dept of Family Centered Care annual budget.
Assists Director with building budget each fiscal year. Engages in clinical decision-making to assure FCC program scope and integrity. - Responsible for the quality assurance for the Family Centered Care program. Oversees the development and implementation of new family centered care programs and initiatives that aligns with SMCH goals and strategic initiatives. Tracks department metrics. Develops dashboard to track program progress and make data driven program decisions. Provides insight and understanding of psychosocial principles and trauma-informed care in programs work with parents and patients/families.
- Develop partnerships with operations leaders to facilitate embedding Family Centered Care practices into clinical workflows.
- Maintains consistent communication with stakeholders on FCC program expectations, barriers, and opportunities. Escalates issues to Director of Patient and Family Experience.
- Oversees the Family Centered Care team members and all responsibilities of those positions. Performs all key management responsibilities for the functional area (e.g. budgeting and financial management; human resources management; performance management; compliance and quality assurance).
