Stanford Health Care is looking for a part‑time Pharmacy Technician to support patient care in one of our Palo Alto clinics. This role works under close supervision with the pharmacist and collaborates with clinicians and internal staff to provide timely medication services.
What You Will Do- Prepare, package, compound and label non‑sterile drug products with pharmacist checks.
- Assist pharmacists with advanced patient‑care tasks.
- Collaborate with clinicians face‑to‑face and over the phone to serve patients.
- Maintain patient medication adherence, secure refills, and conduct outpatient therapy checkups.
- Communicate effectively with the centralized Patient Service Center.
- Help develop new processes to improve operations and patient care.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Three (3) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
- Adaptability to change and ambiguity.
- Strong planning, organization, prioritization, independent work and deadline management.
- Problem‑solving and solution identification.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Effective teamwork with individuals at all levels.
- Fast‑paced work environment compatibility.
- Proficiency with devices, information systems and automated pharmacy equipment.
- Knowledge of drug activity and disposition factors (age, sex, disease states, concurrent drug therapy, food, diagnostics).
- Knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory requirements for pharmacy practice.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology, therapeutics, pharmacokinetics and disease states.
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pathology, chemistry and mathematics related to pharmacy practice.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) proficiency.
- Knowledge of Hepatitis C, infectious disease and/or oncology a plus.
- California Board of Pharmacy (CA BOP) Tech License required.

PayBase Pay Scale:
Generally starting at $43.82 – $49.35 per hour.
