As a Senior Compliance Manager at Taba Pay, you will play a critical role in assessing & supporting merchants and partnerships. This includes leading client due diligence and control reviews, contributing to client solutioning discussions, demonstrating subject matter expertise on our clients and use-cases, and driving improvements in processes and documentation. The role requires a compliance-first mindset and strong project management and communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders, partners and clients.
This is an individual contributor role.
What You’ll Do
- Lead Client Due Diligence Reviews as part of Taba Pay's client boarding process. You will develop a detailed understanding of each client you review, including their industry, specific use-case, the client’s controls, and compliance capabilities as part of our Client Due Diligence processes.
- Represent Taba Pay’s compliance group within solutioning discussions for complex clients and use-cases.
- Assess supportability of prospective client opportunities based on Taba Pay, Partner Bank and Network standards.
- Contribute to the evaluation of new use cases or client verticals by providing Compliance requirements.
- Act as a key liaison between clients, banks, and payment networks to facilitate approvals and sponsor ships by clearly articulating Client use case, Client Risk and program controls.
- Build relationships with partner banks, with a focus on understanding their risk appetite and bank-specific requirements.
- Enhance our Team’s standard operating procedures and compliance policies.
- Design, document, and enforce compliance-related processes.
- Contribute to strategic risk management discussions, internal training documentation and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Who You Are
- 6+ years of experience in the payments industry in a Compliance or Underwriting role. Candidates with previous experience working for a Payment Processor, Payment Facilitator, Acquiring ISO, PSP, MSB or Acquiring Bank preferred.
- Subject matter expertise in Licensed Money Movement, BSA/AML Regulations, Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Sanctions & OFAC, Control Testing, and related compliance areas.
- Understanding and experience with Card Payments, ACH Payments, or Real-Time Payments, including associated rules and regulations.
- Extensive experience conducting due diligence throughout the client lifecycle.
- A self-starter with a “builder” mentality, capable of thriving in a fast-paced startup environment. Passion for fintech, innovation, and emerging payment trends.
- Strong process improvement mindset with experience in designing, refining, and automating processes.
- Analytical thinker with the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements for various stakeholders.
- Skilled at managing competing priorities and demonstrating client intuition.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with customer-facing experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- ACAMS or similar certification considered a plus!
The pay for this position is $120,000; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
