Tax Attorney: 3rd-5th year

Cooley LLP has an opportunity available for an associate to join our tax practice.

Responsibilities

• Advising on mergers & acquisitions, capital markets transactions, and international transactions.

• Managing multiple concurrent matters while building strong client relationships.

• Applying high-level problem‑solving, initiative, and motivation to complex tax issues.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of tax experience.

• High level of motivation, initiative, and excellent problem‑solving skills.

• Strong client‑relations skills and experience handling several concurrent ongoing matters.

• High level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school.

• LLM preferred, but not required.

• Candidate availability in Chicago, Colorado, New York, Palo Alto, San Diego, Santa Monica, or Washington, DC offices.

Expected annual pay range: $260,000 - $365,000 (dependent on geographic location, experience, and skillset).
