Tesla is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer in the Autopilot and Electronics Product Design team to work on low voltage electronics modules. The scope of work includes infotainment devices such as antennas, accessories like wireless phone chargers, electronics control units, etc., across various Tesla vehicles. The engineer will lead the mechanical design for these systems, with opportunities for various experience levels - Senior, Staff, etc.
WhatYou'll Do
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design.
- Experience in developing antenna/RF modules.
- Proficiency in CAD software (preferably CATIA) for 3D modeling and drafting.
- Familiarity with FEA tools (preferably ANSYS).
- Experience from initial concept to mass production.
- Basic understanding of electrical and thermal fundamentals, PCBAs, and electronics packaging.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to perform first principles analysis.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.

Expected compensation ranges from $106,400 to $256,200 annually, plus bonuses and benefits. Compensation varies based on location, experience, and other factors.
