What To Expect
Be a part of our mission to accelerate the world’s shift to sustainable energy. As a member of the Tesla Energy Sales Engineering team, you will be at the forefront of innovation, serving as a key engineer in Tesla’s storage technology, project development, and technical negotiations. Your role will be pivotal in driving the successful design and implementation of stationary battery energy storage systems on electric grids spanning the Americas, stretching from the northern reaches of Canada to the southern tip of Chile.
As a Tesla Energy Sr. Sales Engineer, you’ll have deep knowledge of Tesla Energy’s products (hardware like Megablock; software like Powerhub; and services like Augmentation) and their technical interdependencies. You’ll excel in disciplines related to stationary battery storage, including power systems, cyber security, fire safety, and project design. Your role includes independent market entry (assessments, policy reviews), independent top-of-funnel engineering (pitches, intakes, analyses), independent middle-of-funnel engineering (proposals, RFPs, configurations), and independent bottom-of-funnel engineering (negotiations, contracting).
You’ll work directly with customers, their stakeholders (utilities, regulators), and Tesla teams across sales, engineering, product, operations, and legal. The team is open to considering candidates at various levels of experience.
