Historically, the group grew strongly through M&A activity. DBAG Fund VIII acquired Dantherm Group in November 2021. With the acquisition of German Trotec in 2022, Dantherm Group established itself as a future‑proof multichannel supplier in both the B2B and B2C sphere.
- Market and Technology Research:
Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape within the industrial dehumidification and drying sector. Stay at the forefront of condensation dehumidification and desiccant drying technologies to drive product innovation. - Customer Focus:
Actively engage with customers and end‑users to gather feedback, understand pain points, and translate insights into product improvements and new product ideas. - New Product Ideation and Strategy:
Develop and present compelling business cases for new product concepts, including market segmentation and opportunity, competitive analysis, financial projections, and strategic fit. Gain buy‑in from management and key stakeholders. - Product Development and Lifecycle Management:
Lead cross‑functional teams (engineering, R&D, manufacturing) through a stage‑gate process to deliver high‑quality, market‑ready products. Manage the entire product lifecycle from concept to end‑of‑life. - Go‑to‑Market Strategy and Launch:
Collaborate with marketing to create and execute effective product launch plans. Propose product positioning, value propositions, and enable messaging to ensure a successful market introduction. - Sales Enablement and Evangelism:
Act as a product and solution evangelist for the sales team. Develop and deliver launch training, support creation of sales and training tools, and presentations to empower sales to effectively sell new products. - Cross‑Functional Leadership:
Foster strong relationships and collaboration with all internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, engineering, service, and finance, to ensure alignment and successful execution of product strategy.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or related field) is required. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus. - Experience:
Minimum of 5‑8 years of work experience in product management or related strategic functions, with a significant portion in the industrial equipment or installation space. Direct experience with industrial dehumidification and drying technologies (condensation and desiccant) is highly preferred. Good knowledge of industrial segments in different countries and the different climate solutions needs in these segments is a plus. - Technical Expertise:
Strong technical aptitude and understanding of industrial processes and equipment. Ability to engage in high‑level technical discussions with engineering and R&D teams. - Business Acumen:
Proven ability to identify target markets, industries, segments and customers, develop and present comprehensive business cases, including financial analysis (ROI, P&L) and strategic planning. - Experience to grow a small business across all functions through organizational optimization and development.
