• Supervise and patrol the student parking lot by controlling the speed of cars, loitering in cars, unauthorized cars on campus, and proper parking of cars.
• Patrol areas such as the auditorium, gym, locker room, and restrooms to stop smoking, vandalism, bullying, and other at‑risk behaviors.
• Assist in supervising student activity areas and library during lunch period.
• Assist in general supervision of campus as directed by the assistant principal.
• Assist in afternoon bus loading as needed.
• Report any inappropriate activities or unauthorized persons on or around campus to school administrators.
• Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
• Work directly with students to model and promote diversity awareness.
• Respond to teacher requests for assistance in the classroom.
• Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.

• Methods and practices for maintaining safety and efficiency within school operations.
• Ability to operate a two-way radio and computer keyboard.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with staff and students.
• Skill in motivating, encouraging, and assisting students.
• Ability to analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action.
