Join a vibrant international research community at Stanford! The Scandinavian Consortium for Organizational Research (SCANCOR) at Stanford University is seeking a detail-oriented and service-driven Program Coordinator to support visiting scholars, postdoctoral fellows, and guests from around the world. In this highly collaborative position, you’ll help organize academic seminars and events, coordinate scholar onboarding, maintain program communications, and ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of a welcoming intellectual hub.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a small team, values meaningful cross-cultural engagement, and is energized by supporting academic programs in a dynamic university setting.

Note: This is a 1-year fixed term position that may be renewed subject to funding and operational need. This position is based on Stanford’s main campus and will be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement (minimum 3 days in the office per week). Position Summary

The Program Coordinator supports the smooth operation of SCANCOR’s academic programs by managing routine logistics, coordinating communications, assisting with seminars and events, and helping maintain an organized, welcoming office environment. Working under general supervision and in close collaboration with faculty directors and campus partners, the Coordinator plays an essential administrative role that ensures visiting scholars, postdoctoral fellows, and guests have a positive, well-supported experience at SCANCOR.

  • Program Administration & Scholar Support
    • Organize application materials for visiting scholars and postdoctoral fellows; maintain records and prepare documents for faculty review.
    • Coordinate onboarding logistics such as scheduling orientations, preparing welcome materials, and sharing standardized information about campus resources.
    • Maintain scholar profiles and program documentation; update program guides and routine materials under the direction of program leads.
    • Assist with routine inquiries from scholars and visitors regarding campus services, office procedures, and program activities.

    • Support weekly seminars and scholar events by reserving rooms, updating calendars, sending communications, preparing materials, and coordinating light hospitality.
