Stanford University has an opening for the Director for Employer Relations and Outcomes (ERO) in the Stanford Career Education center. This position is part of the Division of Student Affairs, supporting student experiences outside the classroom across residences, community centers, student organizations, health center, career education center, and more. The ERO Director will focus on employer engagement and strengthening resources that help Stanford students translate their experiences into effective career development.
We are enabling employers to engage with students as in-person recruiting and engagement increase. Stanford Career Education (Career Ed) is building employer relations to increase access to internships, jobs, and networking opportunities. This is a continuing leadership role with opportunities to define employer relations during a dynamic regional and national economy and in university recruiting. The ERO Director will collaborate with colleagues via the Ivy+ and Atlantic Coast Conference for strategic planning to benefit employer relations.
The position reports to the Assistant Vice Provost and Executive Director for Stanford Career Education and participates as an active partner in the center’s leadership team.
Provide strategic management to lead the Employer Relations and Outcomes (ERO) team of Stanford Career Education (Career Ed). Ensure oversight of online systems, employer relationships, and employment opportunities that contribute to the career success of Stanford students and recent alumni.
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will BringBachelor’s degree and eight years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- Advanced computer skills and demonstrated experience with office software, online platforms focused on student- and employer engagement, email applications, and the use of shared file systems, such as Google.
- Commitment to accuracy, honesty, and integrity in fulfilling this role.
- Demonstrated experience managing people.
- Demonstrated experience in using research to provide informed decision making and outcomes reporting.
- Excellent organizational skills.

- Experience with managing teams of three to six team members.
This is a hybrid position which requires a minimum 3 days of on-site work per week.
