Overview
The Department of Sociology at Stanford University seeks applicants for a senior appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor. Applicants must have demonstrated a commitment to effective teaching and mentoring and the ability to maintain a world-class research program. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in a related field and will be expected to teach and advise students at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
The term of appointment is expected to begin on September 1, 2026.

- a brief (no more than 300 words) summary of their research program

The salary range for this position is $149,350 - $324,450.
Stanford University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the qualifications of the selected candidate, budget availability, and internal equity.
