The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Stanford University seeks a fellowship trained board certified/eligible orthopaedic surgeon with a medical doctorate degree specializing in orthopaedic sports medicine with a desire to help build a women’s sports medicine program. Expertise in hip arthroscopy is a plus. The successful candidate will join the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Assistant, or Associate rank on the University Medical Line (UML) or in the Clinician Educator (CE) Line.

Responsibilities
  • Provide surgical and non-surgical care for orthopaedic patients.
  • Teach and mentor residents, fellows, and medical students.
  • Produce scholarly work in the candidate’s major areas of interest, and contribute to clinical care, teaching and institutional service as appropriate to the programmatic need.
  • Assist in building a women’s sports medicine program; expertise in hip arthroscopy is a plus.
Qualifications
  • Fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon, board certified/eligible, with a medical doctorate degree.
  • Specializing in orthopaedic sports medicine.
  • Eligible for a California Medical License.
  • Academic rank and line determined by qualifications and experience. The successful candidate is expected to provide surgical and non-surgical care and engage in scholarly work, teaching, and mentoring as described.

The Expected Base Pay Range For This Position Is
Assistant Professor or Clinical Assistant Professor: $,000
Associate Professor or Clinical Associate Professor: $,000

This pay range reflects base pay and is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It does not include all components of the School of Medicine’s faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive programs.
