DESIGNER (full-time hire post-graduation, 1-3 years experience)

RESPONSIBILITIES:- Assist the project team in developing design and documentation through all phases of a project
- Work under a manager to identify design issues and offer original design solutions
- Apply creativity and critical thinking to design assignments.
- Coordinate with project team, client, consultants, and contractors in a professional manner
- Able to intake and process RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings under supervision
- Research code and zoning requirements
- Collaborate with project team on presentation materials for client meetings
- Attend internal and client meetings and take thorough notes
- Take responsibility and ownership of their work and complete it in a timely manner
- 1-3 years of experience, not including internships, in custom single family residential
- B Arch or M Arch degree from a NAAB accredited architecture program
- Strong design skills and strong graphically with an ability to express ideas through hand sketching
- Fluent in several software programs including BIM, Archi
CAD preferred, but not required - Good communicator and team player
- Takes ownership of own work and has the ability to manage up

Working Environment at FGA:
FGA is located in Santa Clara County. Our employees are the most important aspect of our business and we value them as such. During the first year of employment, we require employees to be in the office 5 days a week to encourage camaraderie and collaboration. After the first year, employees can choose to work 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
