Project Superintendent

The Project Superintendent will lead all daily field operations for a significant $175M, 400+ unit podium multifamily project in Palo Alto. This role is pivotal in supervising subcontractors, enforcing quality and safety standards, managing jobsite logistics, and driving field productivity from foundation through turnover.

• Direct and manage daily field activities, subcontractors, and labor.
• Maintain look-ahead schedules and overall construction sequencing.
• Coordinate inspections, RFIs, and field documentation.
• Oversee structural concrete, podium deck work, and 5-story wood framing.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant jobsite.
• Ensure quality standards are met across all building systems.
• Support closeout, punch list, and turnover activities.

• Experience in multifamily construction with a focus on podium projects.
• Minimum experience with 250+ unit projects, preference for 350–500+ units.
• Proven history of project completion with a 2–3 year tenure at recent employers.
• Experience with complex sitework, including shoring, ground improvements, and heavy dirt work.
• Ability to coordinate multiple trades at peak schedule.
• Strong safety leadership, OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Procore and Bluebeam software, as well as plans/specs reading.
• Experience supervising concrete (4 levels) and wood framing (5 stories).

• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Field coordination expertise.

This role requires onsite, fast-paced coordination with multiple trades in tight urban conditions. It demands strong daily communication and hands‑on leadership to ensure seamless operations and adherence to safety protocols.

This is a Permanent position based out of Palo Alto, CA.

The pay range for this position is $100,000 – $140,000/yr.
