Pay Range:
$20.55 - $22.25 / hour
Dates of Camp:Regular Camp session is Monday, June 8, 2026 - Friday, August 7, 6. Additional work available through Wednesday, August 12, 2026 for Post Camp.

The Job:Are you passionate about working with youth and teens in an engaging summer camp environment? If so, this might be the job for you! Under the direction of the Camp Directors, you will be responsible for interacting with and supervising children ranging from 4–12 years old during the extended care program. As a PM Camp Care Counselor you are also responsible for assisting the J‑Camp Counselors with daily care in a variety of camper groups.
Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, supervising, and carrying out activities that will assist children in their personal growth and daily living skills.
- Supervise an assigned group of campers during the extended camp day to ensure the safety of the child
- Create and implement age appropriate activities for PM Care
- Participate in Shabbat, leading songs and activities with other counselors.
- Be a role model to campers and staff by maintaining a positive attitude when interacting with campers.
- Handle and address parent concerns and questions promptly and appropriately; informing Camp Director when relevant
- At least 16 years of age
- 1+ years of experience working with youth in a camp or other recreational setting
- Ability to interact with all age levels
- Certified in CPR for Children and Adults (or ability to obtain certification upon employment)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to communicate information clearly (both written and oral)
- Extremely organized and detail oriented. Ability to work with tight deadlines
- Ability to make sound independent judgment and decisions when circumstances arise
- Positive, upbeat and enthusiastic about working with children
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with a diverse group that includes OFJCC staff, parents, children and the public
