Role OverviewWe are hiring an ops-heavy Chief of Staff to work directly with the CEO and serve as a force multiplier across company operations and strategic execution. This role owns the operational backbone of the company — people, finance, vendors, and internal processes — while also contributing to company-level strategy, partnerships, and investor engagement.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building structure from scratch, operating in ambiguity, and helping an early-stage company scale responsibly. A key objective of this role is helping prepare the company for Series A readiness by the end of the year.
Core Responsibilities Company Operations & Administration- Own day-to-day operational functions including legal coordination, payroll, benefits, and insurance management
- Fully support HR operations end-to-end from onboarding, to equipment management to offboarding
- Manage relationships with external providers (legal counsel, accountants, payroll, insurance brokers)
- Ensure compliance across employment, tax, and corporate requirements
- Build lightweight but scalable internal processes and documentation. Assist with creating and organizing artifacts (decks, docs, etc) for smooth ongoing internal communications
- Manage vendor onboarding, contracts, invoicing, and payments
- Track expenses and support budgeting and cash-flow visibility
- Coordinate with external accountants on taxes, filings, and R&D / research tax credits
- Support financial hygiene needed for diligence and fundraising readiness
- Support investor relations logistics, including data room preparation, updates, and meeting coordination
- Assist with customer, partner, and board communications as needed
- Act as a trusted extension of the CEO for follow-ups, coordination, and execution
- Provide operational and analytical support across marketing, sales, product, and operations
- Be a force multiplier for hiring needs, including resume screens, first round interviews, and lead generation
- Drive cross-functional initiatives to completion by managing timelines, owners, and execution
- Take ownership of special projects that cut across teams

- Help identify, track, and engage potential investors
- Support outbound investor interest through research, outreach coordination, and follow-ups
- Prepare strategic narratives, materials, and data needed for fundraising conversations
- Assist in identifying and developing strategic enterprise partnerships with large companies
- Support partnership discussions, coordination, and execution (non-sales)
- Help structure and operationalize partnerships once agreed upon
- Act as a thought partner to the CEO on strategic direction, prioritization, and trade-offs
- Support market analysis, competitive research, and strategic planning
- Translate high-level strategy into concrete plans and execution across teams
- Establish operational, financial, and organizational rigor expected by Series A investors
- Prepare core diligence materials (financials, contracts, cap table coordination, policies)
- Improve internal reporting, metrics, and operational visibility
- Ensure the company presents as organized, credible, and execution-driven to external stakeholders
- 4–8+ years of experience in operations, business operations, consulting, finance, strategy, product, or similar generalist roles
- Strong operational instincts with the ability to zoom out strategically when needed
- Comfortable handling sensitive information with discretion
- Highly organized, proactive, and execution-oriented
- Startup or high-growth environment experience strongly preferred
- The CEO gains leverage across both execution and decision-making
- Core operations run smoothly without constant CEO involvement
- Strategic initiatives move forward with clarity and momentum
- The company is operationally and strategically ready for Series A fundraising
