As we enter commercial operations, we are seeking an experienced buyer to collaborate with design and project management teams to ensure procured items meet project requirements, quality standards, and budgets while managing supplier relationships and contracts.
Responsibilities- Sourcing and evaluation - Research and identify potential suppliers and evaluate their products, prices, and reliability.
- Negotiation and contracts - Negotiate favorable terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers and manage the resulting contracts.
- Cost management - Implement cost-control strategies, analyze costs, and identify opportunities for savings without compromising quality.
- Supplier relationship management - Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable performance and manage any issues that arise.
- Collaboration - Work closely with internal teams like design, production, and project management to align procurement activities with project needs and timelines.
- Process management - Manage the purchasing process, including tracking purchase orders, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Inventory Control - Monitoring stock levels, planning for future needs, and coordinating with inventory teams.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement or related field.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Technical understanding of the materials and equipment relevant to the industry.
- Proficiency with procurement software and tools.
- Keen attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with Epicor ERP system
- Familiarity with "3DX" more commonly known as Dassault Systèmes' 3
DEXPERIENCE platform - Familiarity with quality standards like ISO 9001, Six Sigma, or AS9100.
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)

Compensation: $110,000 - $130,000 a year
Applicants must be eligible for employment in the United States and willing to work onsite at our HQ office in Palo Alto, CA.
