Staff Accountant

Overview

Staff Accountant - full-time / permanent position with a direct client of Aprio Talent Solutions.

Location:

Palo Alto, CA - Downtown North (on-site required, five days a week).

$50.00/hr - $65.00/hr

• Utilize Net Suite to manage multi-entity accounting under an MSO structure
• Maintain accurate general ledger records across multiple entities
• Record and reconcile daily transactions including A/P, A/R, payroll, and bank feeds
• Process vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and payments in compliance with policies
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany balances monthly
• Support month-end, quarterly, and year-end close (journal entries, accruals, reconciliations)
• Prepare financial reports and summaries for management and partner practices
• Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow statements and projections
• Provide quarterly financials with comparisons to prior periods and prior year
• Identify and report significant expense variances (10%+ month over month)
• Coordinate with practice managers to ensure accurate revenue and expense allocations
• Support audits and ensure compliance with state-specific regulations and internal controls
• Maintain vendor records, W-9s, and assist with 1099 preparation
• Collaborate with external accountants and auditors during audits and tax season
• Continuously seek process improvements leveraging Net Suite functionality

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Expert-level proficiency in Net Suite
• 3+ years of experience with MSO healthcare accounting (or private equity)
• Solid understanding of GAAP and bookkeeping best practices
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills

• Experience in healthcare or medical group settings
• Familiarity with revenue cycle management and healthcare billing concepts
• Experience supporting outsourced CPA firms or auditors
