Job Description
Summary/Objective
The Flooring-Concrete Superintendent oversees operations on flooring and concrete jobsites from beginning to end with a focus on efficiency of operations, meeting deadlines and remaining within the budget. This position assists with managing the field workforce in the daily operations including hiring and terminations. Coordinate the efforts of all other Retoration/Industrial department superintendents.
Essential Functions:

* Manages all other flooring-concrete foreman, to include daily instruction to annual reviews.
* Report all vital flooring-concrete and personnel matters back to Vice President in a timely manner.
* Participates in all Department Meetings to include review of upcoming work schedules.
* Reviews required equipment and labor needs with Estimators/Project Managers for all assigned projects.
* Participates in pre-construction conference to be facilitated by Estimators/Project Managers and attends weekly jobsite meetings.
* Ensures the foreman has the appropriate materials and equipment on the jobsite to accurately complete each project.
* Monitors project hours and costs and reviews with Estimators/Project Managers.
* Monitors job completion and advises Estimators/Project Managers so billings can be timely.
* Coordinates and manages jobsite deliveries and subcontractors to include maintaining jobsite records as needed.
* Visit's jobsites daily to ensure safety measures, quality control and efficiency.
* Conducts pre-inspection of work completed on which a manufacturer's warranty will be issued.
* Works in coordination with corporate Safety Director to make sure safety requirements are met.
* Processes and prepares necessary documentation relative to field personnel issues to include insubordination, performance, lost time, etc.
* Reviews electronic time keeping daily to verify hours worked and travel pay to correct inaccuracies.
* Ensures that field employees are effectively maximizing their time on the jobsite.
* Assists with reassigning and restructuring crew rosters as necessary.
* Assists in evaluating field employment applications and selecting candidates for hire.
* Investigates customer complaints and take remedial action when necessary and assure the customer's expectations are being met.
* Recommends needed capital equipment (tools, vehicles, etc.) to Department V.P. so funds can be allocated in the company budget.
* Stays current on products, techniques, concepts and methods.
* Flexible to change and acts as a team player.
* Abides by all OSHA and Houck safety guidelines.
* Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

Required
Education and Experience
* High School Diploma(Vo-tech preferred) or GED
and/or Associate Degree
* Seven to ten years of Flooring-Concrete construction experience.
Travel
Ability and flexibility for occasional travel is expected for this position. A current drivers' license is required.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment as well as on site at construction locations. The use of computers, printers, cell phones, telephones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines is required. Other functions can take place indoors or outdoors, sometimes in high, precarious places with fumes and/or airborne particles. The standard outdoor work environment has loud to very loud noise levels associated with various equipment, coworkers and phone conversations.
