Who We Are SeekingThe Juvenile Healing to Wellness Court Coordinator (JHWCC) will serve as both case manager and lead coordinator for a culturally centered Juvenile Healing to Wellness Court. This role oversees program development, participant screening and case planning, service coordination, and ongoing monitoring for youth at early stages of justice system involvement or at risk of low-level, non-violent offenses related to behavioral health or substance misuse.
The JHWCC will manage court operations, supervise the Tribal Court Advocate, coordinate multidisciplinary partners, support funding and grant efforts, maintain records and compliance, and collaborate closely with the Traditional Tribal Court.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in youth services, legal systems, social services and/or care coordination is required. We are willing to train CNV Tribal citizens.
- A bachelor’s degree in justice, social work, psychology, or a similar field is preferred but may be substituted for four additional years of relative experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and leadership skills; including the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds; establish and maintain cooperative relationships and work successfully as a member of a team.
- Excellent time management, problem-solving and organizational skills, with a proven ability to meet sometimes competing deadlines.
- Superb verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to function well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn and embrace new or updated software.
A valid Alaska Driver’s license and the ability to be insured on CVTC’s vehicle insurance policy is a requirement of this position.
