The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing obstetrical care during antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases, utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. The RN demonstrates critical thinking, scientific judgment, leadership, maintains clinical competencies through continuing education, delegates patient care appropriately, and supervises assigned personnel.
