What you will be doing:We are seeking an energetic, well-organized individual capable of performing a variety of paraprofessional work. Primary job duties include interpreting Court documents, calculating prisoner Time Accounting Records for Court imposed sentences, and the recording, submission, and tracking of prisoners DNA samples. Additional tasks include data entry and retrieval in various law enforcement databases, institutional record maintenance, filing, general office clerical work, and frequent professional interaction with outside agencies to include the Courts, Law Enforcement, Attorneys, and members of the public.

The benefits of joining our team:This position is a flex CJT 1/2 position in which the incumbent will learn the full range of duties involving interpretation of court documents and application of Judgments. The PCC Records Office offers a seniority based flexible schedule. The skills developed in this position would prepare the incumbent for a potential promotion to Probation Officer 1 or Correctional Officer 1 within the Department.
This position promotes public safety by ensuring the sentences imposed by the Court are calculated correctly, while ensuring the legal rights of due process are afforded to defendants remanded to our custody.
The working environment you can expect:
You will be part of a small team working closely with Correctional and Probation Officers, providing support and technical assistance to departmental and other criminal justice agency personnel. Duties include regular contact with Court employees, other law enforcement agencies, and members of the public via e-mail, and by telephone.
