Guest Advocate (Cashier), General Merchandise, Fulfillment, Food and Beverage, Style (T2350) – role at Target

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to solve their specific needs and be knowledgeable about tools, products and services available in the store to improve their experience.
• Explain and promote Target benefits, loyalty programs, and fulfillment services; direct guests to enroll, activate and use them.
• Explain how to use Wallet and other features within the Target App; assist with returns following Target policies and procedures.
• Partner with leaders to de-escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience.
• Deliver accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up and Registry guests.
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and stock supplies during store hours while remaining available for guests.
• Adhere to safety policies and report hazards; support cash office processes as needed.
• All other duties based on business needs.

• You enjoy interacting with guests and helping others; you thrive in a fast-moving, active role where teamwork and flexibility are key.
• You are open to a flexible schedule (including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times).
• Strong communication, problem solving, attention to detail, and the ability to educate guests about products and services.
• Ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology, and to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Accurately handle cash register operations and support cash office as needed.
• Ability to scan, handle and move merchandise safely; physical capacity to lift up to 44 pounds with or without assistance.
• Flexibility to pick up shifts to meet store needs.
• Active engagement by picking up shifts and responding to contact attempts; failure to work at least one shift within 5 months may lead to administrative termination.
