Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manager General Manufacturing 1 - Front-Line Manager to join the F-35 organization in Palmdale, CA. The role is essential in leading manufacturing activities within a cost center of restricted programs, driving quality, cost, and schedule objectives and factory accountability.

Palmdale, CA.
Schedule:
Monday‑Thursday – 1st shift (5:00 am – 3:30 pm) or 2nd shift (4:12 pm – 2:42 am), or Friday‑Sunday – 1st shift (5:00 am – 3:30 pm) or 2nd shift (3:00 pm – 1:30 am). Working any of these schedules is required.
Relocation assistance may be available.
Clearance TypeSecret clearance (US Citizenship required). Ability to obtain and maintain Program Special Access is also required.
TravelRequired 10% of the time.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direction and coaching to technicians and production personnel in the assembly and manufacturing areas.
- Ensure team members receive required training and prepare daily work plans to support overall program objectives.
- Encourage and direct career development for employees, including educational options.
- Lead initiatives for process improvements and affordability, systematically identifying and pursuing opportunities.
- High school diploma or GED plus at least 5 years of related professional/military experience in aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing, maintenance, or a related environment.
- At least 1 year of prior management or leadership experience.
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance (US Citizenship required) and maintain Program Special Access.
- Willingness to work the indicated schedules.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Experience in an Aerospace Manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to interface at all levels.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Primary salary range: $ – $. Salary offers consider scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Eligible for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonus. VP or Director positions may be eligible for Long‑Term Incentives.
