Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manager General Manufacturing 1 - Front-Line Manager to join the F-35 organization in Palmdale, CA. The role is essential in leading manufacturing activities within a cost center of restricted programs, driving quality, cost, and schedule objectives and factory accountability.

Location:

Palmdale, CA.

Schedule:

Monday‑Thursday – 1st shift (5:00 am – 3:30 pm) or 2nd shift (4:12 pm – 2:42 am), or Friday‑Sunday – 1st shift (5:00 am – 3:30 pm) or 2nd shift (3:00 pm – 1:30 am). Working any of these schedules is required.

Relocation assistance may be available.

Secret clearance (US Citizenship required). Ability to obtain and maintain Program Special Access is also required.

Required 10% of the time.

• Provide direction and coaching to technicians and production personnel in the assembly and manufacturing areas.
• Ensure team members receive required training and prepare daily work plans to support overall program objectives.
• Encourage and direct career development for employees, including educational options.
• Lead initiatives for process improvements and affordability, systematically identifying and pursuing opportunities.

• High school diploma or GED plus at least 5 years of related professional/military experience in aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing, maintenance, or a related environment.
• At least 1 year of prior management or leadership experience.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance (US Citizenship required) and maintain Program Special Access.
• Willingness to work the indicated schedules.

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Experience in an Aerospace Manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to interface at all levels.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Primary salary range: $ – $. Salary offers consider scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Eligible for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonus. VP or Director positions may be eligible for Long‑Term Incentives.
