IT Sys Admin; RMF​/Security​/Interim TS​/Onsite: Palmdale, CA

Overview

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Division is seeking a Systems Administrator for the Palmdale, CA Enterprise Operations (EO) team. The role focuses on RMF, security hardening, patching, STIG compliance, and infrastructure deployment across closed environments.

• Support the IT team by managing secure environments, ensuring patching, STIGing, and infrastructure deployments.
• Plan, implement, monitor, and upgrade security measures to protect program data, systems, and networks.
• Enable appropriate security controls and troubleshoot technical security and network problems.

• Active DoD Interim Top Secret or higher clearance (U.S. Citizen).
• Non‑expired CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Experience with Windows Server 2016, 2019, and Windows 10.
• RMF / Security experience, including vulnerability remediation, system hardening, log management, and configuration management (Nessus, McAfee, WSUS, Shavlik, Splunk, SCAP).
• Physical capability to lift 30 lbs, carry up and down stairs, and crouch under desks to connect peripherals.

• Certification for 8140 compliance within 90 days (e.g., AZ‑900, VMware VCTA‑DCV, RHCSA).
• Linux and Windows Server expertise.
• On‑prem virtualization (ESX/VSphere).
• Storage and backup knowledge (EMC Unity, Data Domain, Net App).
• Monitoring expertise (Nagios, Tenable Security Center, Splunk).
• Automation and scripting (Power Shell, Ansible, Bash, Perl).
• Group Policy management and COTS software installations.
• Network protocol knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LDAP).
