Description:
You will be the Low Observables Engineer for the Signature Management & Survivability Team which is responsible for advancing low-observable technologies and supporting ISR & UAS missions. What You Will Be Doing As the Low Observables Engineer you will be responsible for shaping stealth signature reduction strategies, guiding simulation efforts, and acting as an emerging LO signature advisor within a high-tempo environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Execute and analyze vehicle signature predictions using Unix-based tools and develop scripts for batch processing.
* Plan and conduct laboratory measurements of material properties, including post-processing and clear reporting of results.
* Design, model, fabricate, and test advanced electromagnetic metamaterials for signature reduction.
* Develop, test, and maintain signature prediction algorithms utilizing Python, C++, C#, Java, and Fortran.
* Lead R&D initiatives to create novel low-observable solutions for complex aircraft survivability challenges. Further Information About This Opportunity MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications:
The following are absolutely required for those that apply:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or Optics
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
Desired
Skills:
- Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance or TS//SCI
- Previous experience in low observables (LO), survivability, or susceptibility
- Experience with radar cross section reduction (RCSR) or radio-frequency (RF) antenna design/integration
- Expertise in LO modeling and predictions:
Computational electromagnetics (CEM), Hybrid Finite Element, Boundary Integral method (FE-BI), Method of Moments (MoM), Xpatch, SENTRi, HFSS, CST Microwave Studio, FDTD
- Experience with LO integration / multi-discipline air vehicle systems design
- Knowledge of RADAR, RF materials, RF material measurements
- Programming with C/C++, Java, Fortran, Matlab, Python
- CAD software literacy for model cleanup and meshing
Security Clearance Statement:
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
