System Engineer, Integration Lab - level 2

Job Description:

You will be the System Engineer, Integration Lab Staff for the Skunk Works (Advanced Development Program) team responsible for turning visionary aircraft concepts into operational reality.

What You Will Be Doing

As the System Engineer, Integration Lab Staff you will deliver hardware‑centric solutions that enable rapid system verification and testing.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Perform system integration, test, and troubleshooting of hardware/software configurations.
  • Design and integrate hardware equipment for the Systems Integration Labs (SIL).
  • Establish Hardware‑In‑The‑Loop (HWIL) and closed‑loop development/testing in the SIL.
  • Interface with software developers, systems engineers, and customers to support verification activities.
  • Maintain design documentation and adhere to configuration‑management requirements.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience with Avionics Systems Integration and Test or Laboratory Hardware development and buildup.
Desired Skills
  • Avionics and SIL experience/background; planning and I&T experience; experience with requirements development and integration/test processes; strong laboratory skills; flight test experience.
  • Experience with Sub‑System Integration and troubleshooting system integration anomalies in a Systems Integration Lab.
  • CompTIA Security+, Network+, or A+ certification desired; candidate must obtain certification upon hiring.
  • Experience in computing systems (processing, network, storage, display technologies).
  • Experience modifying and maintaining system test procedures.
  • Proficiency in cable fabrication, installation, and troubleshooting (BNC, ENET, RF, fiber optic, data).
  • Experience with deployment and configuration management of hardware components.
  • Experience in Lab View.
  • Experience with RF design and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with communications protocols such as USB, Ethernet, serial, and video.
Additional Requirements

Active Secret clearance is required at the start of employment. The position is located in Palmdale, CA.

Salary and Benefits

Annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, or Washington DC is $73,400–$129,260. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. The position is incentive‑plan eligible.
