Description
You will be the Airframe and MR Engineering Lead for a classified program portfolio. Our team is responsible for delivering technically sound airframe and mechanical‑installation engineering across a portfolio of programs. We ensure lean, schedule‑driven execution, maintain technical integrity, and coordinate with a broad set of internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Lead the design team and material‑review engineers, setting technical direction, and ensuring delivery of airframe and mechanical‑installation solutions that meet program requirements.
- Plan and manage resources, budgets, and schedules using earned‑value techniques and reporting tools to drive lean, schedule‑driven execution.
- Coordinate staffing, organization, and control of airframe and MR engineering personnel across the portfolio, aligning activities with diverse stakeholder groups and multiple site locations.
- Oversee technical adequacy, resource allocations, and tactical support plans for material‑review engineers, while maintaining clear written and verbal communication and traveling domestically as needed to support program milestones.
- Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a STEM discipline.
- Experience leading professional engineering staff.
- Experience with proposals and control account management.
- Hands‑on experience developing and fielding aerospace systems.
- Desired Skills:
- More than 15 years of relevant experience in air vehicle development, including design, production, test, and sustainment.
- Experience with all phases of the air vehicle lifecycle.
- Experience with multiple aerospace platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated experience engaging and presenting at the executive level, internally and externally.
Position is in Palmdale, CA. The work will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work schedules support 4x10 hour days with 3 days off per week.

Required:
US Citizen with a current US DoD SECRET clearance capable of maintaining a Top Secret level. Must successfully pass drug and background checks.
Annual base salary ranges (excluding most major metropolitan areas): $144,600 – $255,070. For major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York: $166,400 – $288,305. Salary will be determined based on work location, experience, education, and market factors.
