At Lockheed Martin, we place an emphasis on empowering our employees by fostering innovation, integrity, and exemplifying the epitome of corporate responsibility Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Palmdale, CA is seeking a full-time Electrical Power System Engineer, reporting to the Electrical Systems-Palmdale Manager within Vehicle Sciences & Systems.
This position will support the Advanced Development Program (ADP) Electrical Power Systems (EPS) team. Selected candidate will be responsible for supplier coordination and overall technical execution and integration of the ADP EPS in support of a major ADP effort. Additionally, the person that steps into this role will also act as a technical lead and will help develop the strategic vision of the system throughout the development lifecycle.
This role will be directly involved with early career mentoring within the team. The ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers, along with key stakeholders, is essential for success in this position. Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited college or university
• Technical background in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field
• Secret with investigation or CV date within 5 years
Desired
Skills:
• Experience with integration and troubleshooting of complex aircraft electrical systems
• Experience coordinating root cause and corrective action investigations across systems and suppliers
• Hardware / Software integration, including establishing system level mechanization requirements
• Familiarity with Electrical Loads Analysis per MIL-E-7016
• Qualification test experience, including Environmental (MIL-STD-810) and Power Quality (MIL-STD-704)
• Experience with Airworthiness certification per MIL-HDBK-516
• Teamcenter, 3DX and scripting (MATLAB, Python) experience a plus
• Experience with integration and maintenance of complex aircraft electrical systems
• Strong technical planning skills to include logical task structure and estimating
• Experience coordinating root cause and corrective action investigation within LM as well as with suppliers
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Security Clearance Statement:
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years
