Position Overview
We are seeking a Per Diem BC/BE Family Medicine Hospitalist at Palmdale Regional Medical Center in Palmdale, California. This role is primarily night coverage with some swing shifts, with 4-8 shifts per month, offering flexibility while supporting inpatient coverage needs. The hospitalist will provide adult inpatient care in a community hospital setting using a team-based care model focused on quality, safety, and continuity of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality inpatient medical care to adult patients
- Manage admissions, daily rounds, and discharges during assigned shifts
- Coordinate transitions of care and communicate effectively with consulting services
- Collaborate with nursing staff, case management, and ancillary teams
- Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and clinical workflows
- Adhere to all safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified / Board Eligible in Family Medicine
- Eligible for California medical licensure
- ACLS and BLS required
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Prior inpatient or hospitalist experience preferred
Compensation
- $165 $ 170 per hour (1099)
