Based at Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca,asthe
HelpCook,you willbe responsible forsupportingthe Chef in the preparation and creation of variousdishes. This position ensures that the kitchenoperatesefficiently and that high-quality food isconsistentlyproduced.
- Ingredient Preparation:
Wash, peel, cut, and chop vegetables, as well as prepare meats and other proteins. - Maintaining Cleanliness and Order:
Keep workstations clean and organized, and clean surfaces after each use. - Assisting in Cooking:
Help in the preparation of dishes by following the chef's instructions. - Stock Management:
Check food stock levels and assist in ordering supplies. - Adhering to Hygiene and Safety Standards:
Ensure compliance with health and food safety regulations.
As Help Cook ,weexpectfrom you:
Experience and Education- High school culinary diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and food handling.
- Ability to execute and maintain consistency in the daily menu, ensuring all dishes meet high-quality standards.
- Solid understanding of food safety and sanitation practices to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Experience managing inventory, controlling stock levels, and minimizing food waste.
- Capability to monitor the quality of food production and ensure all dishes are prepared according to set standards.
- Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines during peak service hours.
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with kitchen staff and other departments.
