Are you a passionate engineering leader with a knack for building robust, high‑scale systems? We are looking for a driven Tech Team Lead to head our Order Lifecycle (OLC) team. In this critical role, you will lead a talented group of engineers responsible for the core systems that power our order management, delivery, and return processes. Your team will ensure smooth operations across the buyer and seller journeys, maintaining high standards for quality, scalability, and security.

About

the Order Lifecycle Team

The OLC team is the backbone of our post‑checkout experience. We ensure that order data is available, secure, and transitions smoothly based on buyer and seller actions.

  • Managing the order state machine and facilitating data exchange between buyers and sellers.
  • Maintaining comprehensive order history and delivery/return tracking.
  • Developing and supporting the order public API and webhooks for sellers.
  • Overseeing order functionality in both the Seller Office and Backoffice.
  • Build and maintain Seller Account Health metrics, including building optimized Click House queries to serve aggregated data to the frontend UI.
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead & Empower: Mentor and support a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative, high‑performing, and inclusive environment.
  • Drive Technical Vision: Provide hands‑on technical leadership and guidance on architecture, system design, and engineering best practices.
  • Deliver Excellence: Oversee the end‑to‑end development of projects, ensuring solutions are scalable, high‑quality, and delivered on time.
  • Collaborate Cross‑Functionally: Partner closely with Product Managers and business stakeholders to translate strategic business needs into scalable technical solutions.
  • Optimize Processes: Continuously refine service design, engineering methodologies, and team workflows to boost efficiency.
  • Mitigate Risk: Proactively identify technical challenges and operational risks, proposing effective solutions before they impact delivery.
You've got
  • Technical Expertise: A strong background in software engineering, with proven experience building and maintaining complex, high‑traffic backend systems.
  • Leadership

    Experience:

    A track record of successfully leading, mentoring, and scaling engineering teams.
  • Domain Knowledge: A solid understanding of e‑commerce marketplace dynamics, particularly checkout, order management, and aftersales flows.
  • Integration

    Skills:

    Experience working with third‑party integrations, external partners, and compliance‑driven architectures.
  • Business Acumen: The ability to balance technical excellence with practical business and operational needs.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; comfortable translating technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Problem‑Solving Mindset: A proactive, collaborative approach to tackling complex challenges.
  • Work Authorization: A valid EU work permit.
