Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer – Part‑Time Armed Hospital Rounds in Palm Springs, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as healthcare. You will respond to alarms and calls for service, assist staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication, and document key observations.

- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal security‑related procedures, location‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
- Carry authorized duty weapon and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and location policies, maintain required qualifications, and use sound judgment and de‑escalation techniques to help reduce risk during security‑related events.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including assisting with disorderly persons, visitor issues, and support for clinical teams as requested.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of entrances, lobbies, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and/or disruptive behavior; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Complete timely documentation such as incident reports and patrol logs, communicate status updates to leadership and local contacts, and coordinate with law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed.
- Work in a hospital environment where vaccines are present.
- Work in a hospital morgue environment.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be able to restrain individuals.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants with criminal histories will be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws; may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
