About the RoleTenet Healthcare is seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment at Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, California. This position offers the opportunity to provide advanced critical care in a respected hospital environment while expanding your professional expertise.
Assignment Details- Facility: Tenet Healthcare / Desert Regional Medical Center – ICU (Medical/Surgical/Cardiac)
- Location: Palm Springs, California
- Start Date: December 22, 2025
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 19:00 – 07:30 (12-hour night shifts)
- Hours: Standard contract, 36 hours per week
- Deliver critical care to patients with complex medical, surgical, and cardiac conditions.
- Perform comprehensive assessments and respond rapidly to changes in patient status.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Educate patients and families on conditions, recovery, and discharge instructions.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and evidence-based practices.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- 2 years of ICU experience in an acute care setting.
- Strong clinical assessment skills with the ability to respond quickly in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Travel nursing experience in ICU or critical care units.
- Advanced certifications such as ACLS and CCRN.
- Adaptability to diverse patient populations and clinical environments.
