Hospitaity Manager – Palm Springs, CA
Full‑time (Shifts vary 7 a.m.–11 p.m., Mon–Sun)
Pay: $70,000 – $80,000 / yr
Driver's license required; minimum 2 years' experience. Salary reflects skills and experience.
Responsibilities- Oversee financial, operational, safety, and service success at assigned hotel(s).
- Plan, schedule, train, and supervise Assistant Hospitality Managers, Supervisors, Shift Leads, and frontline staff.
- Maximize revenue, control expenses, and enhance customer satisfaction while maintaining high safety and service standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Attend daily stand‑up and client‑scheduled meetings (in person or via assistants).
- Conduct internal pre‑shift stand‑up meetings each shift.
- Develop hotel team to meet annual and periodic goals, embodying LAZ Parking’s culture.
- Identify high‑potential employees and support organizational growth.
- Participate in recruiting and onboarding of prospective staff.
- Implement safety initiatives from National Safety & Training Manager.
- Address safety concerns promptly.
- Drive service results by monitoring LAZ Service Shopper Reports and hotel metrics.
- Cultivate client relationships and business retention.
- Execute projects, programs, and initiatives arising from hotel operations.
- Meet contractual requirements between LAZ Parking and clients.
- Manage claims, safety training, and claim processing, including investigation and reporting.
- Ensure overall financial success, audit compliance, and adherence to audit protocol.
- Process payroll, sign off hours, and collaborate with payroll and HR Business Partner for wage and hour compliance.
- Update LHIST data daily and accurately.
- Finance management of assigned location, adhering to budget and revenue enhancement goals.
- Generate daily, weekly, monthly, and annual financial and operational reports.
- Prepare budgets and review profit/loss for assigned hotel(s).
- Monitor, review, and analyze market rate structures.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience desired.
- 1+ year of management experience.
- Prior hospitality industry experience (parking, restaurants, hotels) preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Experience in fast‑paced environments with high customer expectations.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office.
- Drive improvement and foster idea sharing and creative problem solving.
- Handle employee conflict, follow grievance procedures, and mediate conflict resolution.
- Strong customer‑service skills.
- Lead others to overcome challenges (“Never give up” attitude).
- Excellent team‑building and interpersonal skills.
- Professional and effective communication at all organizational levels.
- Interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices.
- Sense of urgency and timeliness.
- Work in various weather conditions (heat, wind, snow, rain).
- Lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.
- Stand, walk, and run for extended periods.
- Bend, stoop, squat, and lift frequently during shifts.
