Thompson Palm Springs is recruiting for an enthusiastic Restaurant Manager to join the hotel’s F&B leadership team.
Thompson Palm Springs has quickly become the desert’s most exciting lifestyle hotel tailored to influential locals, sophisticated globetrotters, VIP gatherings and social events. Located on Palm Canyon Drive, the hotel includes 168 bungalow-inspired guest rooms and suites, plus 8,000 square feet of indoor meeting space and unique outdoor venues. The Restaurant Manager will support the following food and beverage outlets within the hotel operated by Hyatt, including Lola Rose, Grand Mezze (three-meal restaurant & lounge), and In-Room Dining (breakfast, lunch & dinner). It involves short- and long-term planning of the restaurant, hiring, training, development and promotion of the team, leading and coaching for exceptional guest service and colleague satisfaction, understanding of colleague engagement, maintaining a high energy and professional appearance, planning and managing special events and holiday functions, and taking initiative to run the outlets as a free-standing entity.
Positiondetails
This is an exempt (salaried) role. The budgeted salary range for this position is $70,400 to $87,000. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on factors including experience and education.
Responsibilities- Oversee Lola Rose, Grand Mezze and In-Room Dining operations and ensure high-quality service across outlets.
- Plan, coordinate and manage short- and long-term restaurant strategies.
- Ensure effective hiring, training, development and promotion of the team.
- Lead and coach the team toward exceptional guest services and colleague satisfaction results.
- Maintain a high-energy, positive, and professional appearance and demeanor.
- Plan, coordinate and manage special events and holiday functions.
- Take initiative to manage outlets as a stand-alone entity when appropriate.
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
- Refined written and verbal communication skills.
- A desire to exceed guest expectations.
- Full-time management position requiring flexibility, ability to work weekends and holidays, and a varied schedule.
- Previous experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager or Assistant Food & Beverage Manager or supervisory role preferred.
- Proficient computer knowledge, including working knowledge of point of sales systems.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, strong leadership, and strong food and beverage knowledge.
- Strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leadership, effective communication, and exceptional customer service.
