Travel: 60-90% depending on season - able to be onsite for dedicated support of the Desert Sands school district 4 days per week
Compensation range: $65,972 and $85,000 per year (depending on experience)
AboutThe Role
MOGEL, on behalf of a leading multi-million edtech organization in the K-12 space, is seeking an experienced Professional Learning Specialist who is an experienced educator who partners with school districts to support the successful implementation of core, blended, and online learning programs. This role delivers high-quality professional learning, coaching, and guidance to educators and leaders, helping improve teaching and learning outcomes across the customer lifecycle.
Through collaboration, strategic planning, and engaging delivery, the Professional Learning Specialist plays a critical role in driving sustainable adoption and long-term impact.
- Deliver engaging, fee-based professional learning experiences for small and large groups, both virtually and in person, while modeling effective instructional practices.
- Design and implement customized professional learning plans that support districts from initial onboarding through ongoing use and renewal.
- Prepare for professional learning sessions by confirming account readiness, learning outcomes, audience expectations, and personalized materials, as well as coordinating travel when needed.
- Manage training logistics, including submitting training requests and maintaining accurate customer records with session summaries and recommended next steps.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams such as Customer Service, Sales, and Professional Learning to ensure a seamless, solutions-oriented customer experience.
- Serve as both a learner and a leader within a collaborative Professional Learning Community, sharing best practices while continuously refining delivery skills and instructional strategies.
- Manage multiple districts and concurrent projects, balancing priorities while meeting seasonal delivery demands.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders as part of a matrixed service team.
- Maintain flexibility to work varying schedules and travel as needed, including overnight travel during peak seasons.
- Support team goals and contribute to additional initiatives or responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience supporting blended and/or online learning environments; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A master’s degree in education, educational technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Current teaching certification is required.
- Experience supporting or implementing core curriculum programs is strongly preferred (e.g., mathematics, STEM, humanities, or literacy-focused solutions).
- Demonstrated success delivering professional development, training, and/or consulting services in educational settings.
- Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with effective problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a high-performing, team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Zoom, and Teams.
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and travel, including overnight travel, as business needs require.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
