Part-Time Elementary, Middle, or High School Teacher/Tutor Wanted

We are currently seeking part-time teacher-tutors for a role in our learning center at Grade Power Learning Palm Harbor
. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys teaching language and math, among other subjects, and is passionate about helping others build their skills in these areas.

Work flexible hours tutoring core subjects and/or SAT/ACT in the afternoons Monday - Friday (5-40 hours).

Teacher-Tutors at Grade Power Learning do not have to lesson plan before class;
Grade Power administration communicates with parents, and all lessons are pre-planned. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods.

Position Requirements:

Teacher-Tutors at Grade Power Learning work summers and portions of after-school and evening hours Monday - Friday (3:00pm - 7:00pm). Choose the number of afternoons you work. Your students will love working with you, and being reliable is a must!

Applicants with upper division math and science expertise and who scored well on the SAT/ACT will be trained to coach the SAT/ACT Prep program ($20-$23/hour).

This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position. Relocation packages are not available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Education
:

• Bachelor’s degree or currently enrolled in college/university
• Teaching certification an asset

Experience
:

• Some experience teaching/tutoring at a first to12th grade (or equivalent) level is an asset
• SAT/ACT tutoring experience an asset
• Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students' understanding
• Ability to multitask and balance working with up to six students at a time

Responsibilities (Position Details):

You will work directly with students as an Interactive Coach with the following responsibilities:

• Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels
• Teaching is in-person
• Following the Grade Power Learning methodologies and philosophies
• Filling in post-lesson notes
• Completing daily student communication updates
• Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times
