The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens is seeking a dynamic Creative Services Manager/Editor to lead our in-house creative team and define how our mission comes to life through words and visuals. This is a rare leadership role for a storyteller with strong visual instincts—someone who can edit an annual report, art-direct a publication layout, and guide photography and video with equal confidence.

You’ll oversee a talented creative team and help shape the voice, look, and feel of an organization that welcomes 600,000+ guests each year
—connecting them to desert conservation in meaningful, memorable ways.

• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary creative team (design, photo/video, project management)
• Develop and edit high-impact content for publications, campaigns, fundraising, digital platforms, and exhibits
• Own and evolve the organization’s brand voice and visual standards
• Provide creative direction across writing, design, photography, and video
• Ensure every story and visual reflects our mission and inspires action
• Manage creative workflows, budgets, and external vendors
• 7–10 years of experience in creative leadership combining writing/editing and creative direction
• Exceptional editorial skills with strong visual judgment
• Experience leading creative teams and elevating creative output
• Portfolio showcasing standout writing and creative oversight
• Passion for mission-driven storytelling (conservation experience a plus)
