- Other duties as assigned. Educates patients on what to expect before, during, and after diagnostic and treatment procedures, and develops and revises patient educational materials.
- Serves as a resource to cancer patients, educates and answers questions about disease-specific health concerns, and participates in health lectures and educational outreach programs.
- Coordinates and participates in weekly multidisciplinary conferences, tracks scheduled procedures, follows pathology results, and monitors outcomes of meetings.
- Builds relationships with community physician practices/groups to grow disease-specific inpatient and outpatient market share.
- Engages and enrolls healthcare providers in the Cancer Navigation Pathway Program.
- In-depth clinical knowledge in oncology [Required]
- Must have established positive working relations with the medical community in local areas [Required]
- Excellent communication skills and computer proficiency, including fluency in the English language and experience/knowledge of computer use, particularly MS-Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) [Required]
- Must have knowledge of The Joint Commission requirements and local, state, and federal regulations [Required]
- Ability to work in a self-directed environment, with the capacity to lead and work with teams, and work independently [Required]
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer relation skills [Required]
- Ability to provide age-appropriate cancer education and utilize in-house and external oncology resources [Required]
- Ability to multitask and function in a stressful, fast-paced environment [Required]
- Self-motivated with a clear capacity for independent work [Required]
- Associate's of Nursing [Required]
- Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
- Master's of Nursing [Preferred]

- 2+ years oncology and/or radiation clinical experience mandatory [Required]
