Our pharmacy technician positions have evolved from a transaction‑based environment to a patient‑centric one. You will interact with customers, build patient relationships, and use the latest technology and systems to support pharmacy services.

• Assist the pharmacist in all pharmacy duties under direct supervision, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and company regulations.
• Obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and maintain accurate records in pharmacy systems.
• Provide a delightful customer experience: greet customers, resolve issues, and share best practices.
• Support cash register operations, handle cash accurately, and assist with OTC aisle product locating.
• Manage phone calls that do not require pharmacist attention, including physician calls.
• Enter and verify prescription data, fill prescriptions, and check for potential interactions.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to quality improvement procedures.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory, order supplies, and assist with checking, storing, and filing warehouse claims.
• Assist with clinical services (e.g., blood/urine sampling), Walgreens clinics, and coordination with external providers.
• Participate in community outreach, medical provider detailing, and local clinic promotion.
• Help keep the pharmacy department clean, organized, and well‑stocked.
• Complete special assignments and support the team as needed.

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the apprenticeship program or state‑required training.
• Attend manager‑requested training, acquire continuing education credits, and stay updated on industry developments.

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

• Experience in a retail environment (six months or more).
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Strong math skills for accurate prescription counting, measuring, and weighing.
• Computer proficiency.
• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification (preferred).
