Job PurposeThis role is responsible for increasing customer confidence and loyalty by providing courteous and prompt service, consistent operating conditions and a friendly atmosphere.
Essential Responsibilities Compliance (50%)- Observe customers and check identification for age verification; identify customers who should not be served additional alcohol and monitor customers to aid in preventing open containers leaving the store.
- Deny sale of alcohol or tobacco to underage or intoxicated customers.
- Provide continuous attention to customers' needs.
- Greet, assist, and thank customers in a prompt, courteous, and friendly manner.
- Offer product suggestions when appropriate.
- Stock and rotate department products to ensure freshness and date control.
- Restock and use supply items efficiently to eliminate waste and maintain the lowest supply cost.
- Operate department equipment and tools; operate cashiering equipment accurately and efficiently, recognizing all forms of tender and providing the correct change when appropriate.
- Keep work area clean, orderly, and free from safety hazards; report faulty equipment and hazards to management.

- Preferred: High School / GED Diploma

- 0–3 years minimum, no supervisory experience required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- TIPS Training required prior to position start date.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, and proficiently follow instructions.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Successful completion of a pre‑employment drug test and background check.
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- High standard of integrity and reliability.
- Basic computer skills required to participate in online training.
- Customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced and busy environment.
Retail – General Heavy:
Physical demands include standing/walking on various flooring types; manual dexterity; repetitive movements; reaching at waist level or overhead; carrying, pushing, or lifting loads up to required weights. May be exposed to indoor/outdoor, cold/frozen/heated/humid conditions. Safety risk factors include twisting, walking on slippery or cluttered floor surfaces, exposure to hazardous equipment, sharp objects, loud noise, skin irritants, fumes, sprays, and cleaning solutions.
Required equipment: cleaning supplies, equipment, register, pricing gun, scales, scanner, material handling equipment. PPE: goggles, gloves, back brace. Lifting requirement: 250 lbs. Lifting requirement: 50 lbs.
