Quality Inspector - Civil, Electrical, & Mechanical Engineering

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a Quality Inspector
.

Position Type: Full time Contract, Possible Temp to Direct.
Duration: 06-12 Months
Location: Palm Bay, FL (Onsite)

As a Quality Inspector, you will:

• Perform inspections, tests, and audits of purchased parts, units, and materials for incoming parts in receiving.
• Verify geometric dimensioning and tolerancing against engineering drawings.
• Utilize measurement devices such as calipers, height gauge, optical comparator, micrometers, and dimensional measurement systems.
• Use surface plates and precision measuring tools for mechanical inspection.
• Access drawings and inspection instructions; document non-conformances.
• Conduct visual inspections of hardware using microscopes and magnification lenses.
• Review supplier documentation for adherence to quality clauses and drawing notes.
• Initiate nonconformance reports describing and photographing discrepancies.
• Maintain support documentation and perform sampling and testing of incoming components, raw materials, and assembly build.
• Review and report performance data.
• Interface with customer quality representatives or suppliers as needed.

Preferred experience:

• PWB inspection, electrical part inspection, mechanical part inspection/GD&T inspection, IPC certifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience, or 2 years post-secondary/associate’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
• Inspect incoming hardware according to applicable specifications and drawing requirements; review supplier documentation.
• Identify and document non-conformances.
• Utilize measurement gauges, inspection instruments, and microscopes for inspections.
• GD&T experience.
• Incoming inspection for all commodities including Mil Spec, electrical, mechanical, PWBs, and more.

Pay Range*: $25-$28 per hour.
