Engineering Technician

Job Description

• Support the Order Board in the Oracle Database
• Daily review of the order board.
• Pulling completed boards from Oracle and transferring them to Finished Goods.
• Supporting engineers' needs for completed evaluation boards.
• Communicating with Marketing through email.
• Maintain Inventory in MiSys:
• Put residual kits back into stock.
• Order ICs from Renesas website.
• Enter data/kits into MiSys.
• Create new parts in MiSys.
• Purchase parts from distributors such as Mouser and Digi-Key.
• Enter purchase orders into People Soft (for costs $2500.00).
• Redline Release of Eval Boards:
  Coordinate with AE to ensure responsible redline release of evaluation boards.
• Create Jobs for Re-builds of Eval Boards:
• Order PCBs.
• Start jobs in MiSys.
• Receive Completed Boards from Assembly Houses.
• Check board revision and bag-and-ship boards.
• Misys
• Intrepid
• Model N
• Orders in Oracle.
• Use Microsoft Word to make labels (bag & box) and ensure shipping pack lists are available.
• Ensure there is a standard cost in MiSys and Excel.

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in a relevant field preferred.

5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a technology or manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in Oracle Database, MiSys, Microsoft Word, and Excel.

Knowledge of electronic components

Understanding and knowledge of reading schematics

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Excellent communication skills, comfortable with email communication.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience with purchasing parts from distributors and entering purchase orders into multiple systems.

Knowledge of PCB ordering and assembly processes is a plus.

Renesas is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Engineering Technician 2 to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting order boards in Oracle databases, maintaining inventory in MiSys, and ensuring efficient operations in a fast-paced environment.
