Harris Corporation is seeking a Specialist, System Integration & Test Engineer to develop lab test set development in support of RF Testing operations for a Communication Systems portfolio of program in Brevard County, Florida. This is an opportunity to take on unique challenges, expand your skills and experience, and contribute to mission critical systems solutions that keep our war fighters safe.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving Systems issues related to but not limited to Power Amplifiers, Converters, and Modems
- Integrating and testing critical RF receive/transmit components and RF/Antenna assemblies into systems.
- Collaborate and consult with a cross-functional technical team (i.e., Systems Engineering, Project Engineering, Software Engineering) during the requirements analysis phase, including developing/updating the Requirements Verification Traceability Matrix (RVTM) for completeness.
- Support all phases of the product life cycle (design, analysis, manufacturing, test, verification/validation, and delivery)
- Creating, reviewing, and updating formal test procedures, engineering documentation, and Requirements Verification Traceability Matrix (RVTM) for completeness.
- Coordinating, and participating in all internal approvals for any Integration and Test deliverables that are required by the Statement of Work (SOW).
- Ability to read, interpret and edit engineering drawings or schematics to perform work duties.
- Develop automated test procedures for circuit cards, LRUs, and entire systems.
- Proficient in the use of Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, and Real-Time Spectrum Analyzers (RTSA).
- Basic understanding of RF communications and signal flow.
- Must possess a current U.S. Secret Clearance.
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Skills:
- General familiarity with basic networking concepts, including TCP/IP protocols and network hardware.
- Skilled in requirements sell-off, Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP), Formal Qualification Testing (FQT), and Developmental Testing/Validation (DVT).
- Experience with Frequency Counters, Power Meters, and RF Noise Generators.
- Proficiency with Wire Shark or other network protocol analysis tools.
- Familiarity with Keysight Bench Vue software.
- Knowledge of Jira for issue and project tracking.
- Competence in MATLAB for algorithm development and data analysis.
- Familiarity with command line interface and Linux OS.
