Position Title:
Children and Family Pastor/Director
Centerpointe is a vibrant, growing, multicultural church on Florida’s Space Coast. The Children’s and Family Pastor will be part of the ministry team that helps carry out the vision to inspire people to Experience His life, Engage His truth, and Express His love. The pastor will lead, plan, execute, and oversee the ministry to children from birth through 5th grade. The church hosts three Sunday morning services and maintains an active midweek program for children.
We also partner with local schools to hold assemblies using materials from Orange.
The ideal candidate must be a committed follower of Christ, exemplify Christ-like character, and be capable of teaching, modeling, and overseeing ministries to children, parents, and leaders. Support and alignment with the Mission and Values of Centerpointe Church are essential.
This role requires the ability to cast vision and develop strategic methods for building ministry teams and training volunteers. As it oversees various age groups and programs, identifying high-capacity leaders and delegating responsibilities effectively is crucial. The position involves participation in weekly staff meetings to coordinate strategy with staff and volunteers.
Responsibilities include budget management, strategic planning, and other managerial tasks. Time management and maintaining a healthy work/life balance are encouraged. Additional responsibilities can be discussed during the hiring process.
Education, Experience, and
Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; a seminary degree (MDiv or Christian Education) is a plus.
- Preferably 3+ years of children’s ministry experience or demonstrated abilities with excellent references.
- Experience in recruiting, training volunteers, and team collaboration.
